Get Involved
Volunteer
Volunteers are the lifeblood of much of our programming. Our volunteers serve in many different ways, from offering homework help, to helping in our garden, to teaching special skills or leading crafts.
If you are interested in joining us as a volunteer, download the application and send it to Deseree Stanfield by clicking the apply here button below.
How to Get Involved
One person can change a life.
Will you be that person?
Tutoring
Four evenings each week from September to May, children receive academic support in the form of tutoring at West End Center. Volunteer tutors from throughout the community are matched with children to provide assistance with homework assignments and with building fundamental math and reading skills.
Individual Giving
The majority of our funding comes from individual donors, without whom we could not serve our children. Your donation makes a difference, no matter the size; and, those who donate $500 or more may be able to take advantage of Virginia's Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) tax credit.
Gifts In Kind
Gifts in kind range from program materials, to technology, to playground mulch and landscaping, to professional services. These generous gifts enable us to conserve our monetary resources.
